It's a sound that's been honed over five years touring up and down the East Coast, as well as a jaunt O.S. to Indonesia. With cat scratch guitar playing, a 1000 pound rhythm section, and lung-busting vocals, they've also managed to prick the ears of Australian rock royalty and fellow Gong residents, Tumbleweed, who handpicked the band to join them on a national album tour.
Today they release their latest EP, Neighbourhood Kids, through Bedlam Records and produced by Duncan Campbell (Dune Rats, Guttermouth, The Durries) and Mastered by Jonathan Boulet. The first single 'Pop Gun' is a speedball of crunchy rock that follows the age-old delicious recipe of quiet verses and explosive choruses, and blasts through your head in just under three minutes of chaos. The track has also been perfectly complemented by a lo-fi vid of the heavy dreaded dudes tearing it up through their house and backyard in scenes that recall Jebediah's legendary vid for 'Leaving Home.'
The band are then set to celebrate the release of the EP with a massive East Coast tour with fellow punk rock upstarts WALKEN on their Skate With A Mate Tour, including a launch show tonight at Brisbane's Crowbar.
