Brisbane psych phenomenon Boss Moxi have been deep in the studio recording their debut album, and are now ready to unleash what they’ve created. Following the success of debut single Song of Joan, the band are showing no signs of slowing down with dark and mysterious second single, Nymphomaniac.
This track marks a departure from their newly found jazz infusion, and captures the raw power Boss Moxi began with; only this time it sounds a bit more grown up. The stunning film clip, directed by lead singer, Brayden Doig, perfectly captures the desperate, raw and powerful essence of the track, and reaffirms the band’s matured sound.
” Nymphomaniac is their latest release. The short track is a bit dark, a bit mysterious, and features a growl, a la Nick Cave/Gareth Liddard or even Kirin J Callinan, that I just can’t get enough of. It’s also a deviation from their last track, Song of Joan – not that that’s a bad thing. Quite the opposite actually, as both tracks show the band in a different, more mature and pretty fascinating light.
